Here's a new and practical idea. Use your Model 10008 Wild Bird watering station and the Model 10004 Mounting bracket to fit outside your kitchen window. It's a great idea and it simplifies keeping the unit clean all year. Simply open the window and clean and refill.
Pictured here is an installation in New England. The Sipper is mounted beside a small bird feeder and squirrel guard. Also used is a suet holder. The installation is simple and easy for the birds, and it's easy for you. Not to mention the fact that you can watch your favorite backyard birds all day. Titmice, wrens, cardinals, and other colorful birds come right to your window for food and water.
The Sipper does its job too in keeping the water clean all day and when the sun is up. It makes sure with its passive solar heating that the water inside its bowl won't freeze in air temperatures down to 20 degrees. In summer it's even more useful at keeping the water clean with its water cover and the air insulation inside keeps the water cooler in the heat.
