AVAR was the primary sponsor of the largest single-day, 2007 Spay Day event in the United States, which was held at veterinary clinics throughout the Sacramento region on Sunday, February 25th. AVAR has been a sponsor of the Sacramento Spay Day event for several years; its staff and veterinary members have continuously volunteered their time to help tackle the local overpopulation problem.
